Tim grew up in the not-really-Southern college-town of Gainesville, Florida, in blissful humidity and an exploding punk scene. He began a career in filmmaking when he moved North to the kudzu-adorned college-town of Athens, Georgia and began work on a feature documentary DIRTY WORK with co-conspirator David Sampliner. Having not gone to film school, this became their film school. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and garnered numerous awards at other festivals.
